the Route, Clockwise

here is my route around europe! 13 trains, and 1 flight inter europe!

Florence, Italy

Florence was beautiful, and very hot! the Tuscan hillside is amazing!

Austrian Alps, and Budapest, Venice

ahha! success!
I finally figured out how to change my blog back to english!
what a hassle... I think it was stuck in Arabic for the past few weeks since I tried updating in Prague!
so sorry it has taken so long, it is also very expensive to be on the internet in europe.

So here we go, I have a lot of updating to do since I talked last.
So I finally arrived in amsterdam  2 days after I tried to get there...
Met up with Nic after we where emailing each other from the same coffee shop at the same time! ha... damn coffee shops, so hard to get anything productive done at them!

from amsterdam we headed to Berlin, and Met up with Brandon.  After a night of craziness we decided Berlin wasn't ready for us and we hit a morning train to Prague...
after 4 days in prague, headed to Vienna.  The EuroCup soccer matches were being held here and as Americans who don't really follow soccer that closely that created a little problem for us!
Ended up sleeping in a park the first night due to the fact that the whole city was booked out because Austria was playing neighboring  rival Germany that night!  needless to say it was a little crazy, and a bit cold...
after Vienna Brandon returned to LA and Nic and I continued on to Linz, Austria where we toured his dads fire truck factory... we where put up by some amazing people in the Austrian Alps at an organic bed and breakfast! this was a truly beautiful place.

from there we headed to Budapest, Hungary...
after Budapest we took a night train to Venice, Italy. this train was pretty brutal after we ended up sitting in a smoking cabin on accident... we also got woken up  at every boarder to check our passports... Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy.
from Venice we went to Florence then on to  Pisa and Rome...
flew from Rome to Barcelona... We celebrated while Spain won the Euro Cup... Was just about to put some riot gear on at this point! Also saw Mason Jennings, G love and Special Sauce, and Headliner, JACK JOHNSON!

after barcelona we headed to San Sebastian, Which ended up being my favorite spot on the journey... San Seb. is a surf town on the north coast of Spain about an hour from france...
Great Little City... around 255,000 Pop.
This is where I parted ways with Nic and started the Quest on my own...
I then took a bus to Pamplona with my buddy Jean from Melbourne Australia...
Jean was quite the traveler and a great dude.. we actually celebrated his one year of leaving home on the second day of the Fiesta De San Fermin! or the Running of the Bulls!
Needless to say this was absolutely crazy and the best party I have ever been a part of!
I would suggest this to anyone willing to have a blast and willing to get absolutely filthy...
My white clothes(everyone wears white) where completely purple from sangria by 2 in the afternoon!

from Pamplona I hopped in a Van (Van Tour 08) with two guys from Scotland!
great guys named Squirrel and Andy...
We headed back to San Sebastian for a night then on to Porto, Portugal
then on to Lisbon.  Saw some great Music at the Optimus Alive Festival, including:
Xavier Rudd, Neil Young, Bob Dylan,  and Ben Harper, just to name a few!

Next onto Madrid, where I visited Knudy! good to see you buddy!
from Madrid I took another overnight 13 hour train to Paris... great train ride! Ate some great cheese, anchovies, sun dried tomato mustard spread, and pickled artichoke, along with $180 bottle of wine that a Brazilian celebrity chef Kevin, who lives in LA, brought on.  Amazing what offering a Heineken can get you when your board and, wandering around the train!
From Paris I hopped my final train back to Amsterdam, had on last night of debauchery, and headed back to the states!

so finally home after 7 weeks on the road in Europe!
A TRIP I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO TAKE! now crossed off the list!
I only planned of 4 weeks but couldn't leave, so now I am back to work with zero money in the bank, but sooooo damn worth it!
